Andrew Sullivan, SOCS (Retired)

Senior Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Andrew Sullivan medically retired from the US military in 2020 after nearly two decades of service in the Special Operations community, including six years at SEAL Team Two and eleven years at Naval Special Warfare Development Group. 

His many combat commendations include the Silver Star Medal, two Bronze Star Medals with combat valor, the Purple Heart Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, six Joint Service Commendation Medals with combat valor, two navy and Marine Commendation medals with valor, three Presidential Unit Citations and numerous other joint and individual awards.

Following his time in service, Andrew started BlueForce Strategic Action Group, a SDVOSB that provides tactical, security, and leadership consulting to the DOD, Federal, and Law Enforcement Agencies. Additionally, Mr. Sullivan has consulted with several organizations advocating for mental health treatment for Veterans and First Responders. He is a board member at One Summit, a 501c3 that provides resilience training for pediatric cancer patients. 

Andrew has a MS in Strategic Leadership from the University of Charleston, West Virginia, and currently resides in Virginia Beach, VA, with his two daughters. 

Trent Baker, SOCS (Retired)

Trent Baker retired in 2023 as a Senior Chief Special Operator (SEAL) after 22 years in the military.  He served at SEAL Team Eight and SEAL Team Four and spent nine years at Naval Special Warfare Development Group. 

 

Trent is passionate about helping communities become safer at a grassroots level.  Before Community First and while still on active duty, Trent would volunteer his time with multiple different police departments and was actively engaged with mentoring at-risk youth.  His awards from the military include three Bronze Stars with combat valor, six Navy commendation medals with combat valor, two presidential unit citations, and multiple other awards and joint citations.

 

Trent joins Community First as Director of Operations.  He has a BS in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston, West Virginia, and is working on his Masters in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida.     

Paul Fitzgerald, Superintendent Boston Police (Retired)

Paul Fitzgerald has 31 years of law enforcement experience with the Boston Police Department, the last 9 as a Superintendent.

Throughout his career, while rising through the ranks of the Police Department, he held several significant positions, to include Chief of Intelligence. While serving in this position, he maintained overall responsibility for Homeland Security matters in the Metropolitan Boston area. Additionally, he served as Security Director for the Boston Public School System, and Commander of the Youth Violence Strike Force.

Fitzgerald was the senior Boston Police Officer assigned to work with the FBI on two of the most significant terrorism cases in the United States, the Boston Marathon terrorist attack investigation in 2013, and the 2015 terrorism investigation of a small cell that was plotting to behead police officers in Boston.  Throughout his career, he has maintained and implemented best practices in policing.

Fitzgerald attended the Naval Post Graduate School’s Executive Leaders Program in Monterey, CA, served on the Director of National Intelligence Advisory Board, assisted the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit in creating a best practices monograph on active shooter and threat assessments, and was the Distinguished Guest Speaker at the National Counter Terrorism Center in Washington D.C.
